We are what You eat
Thanks for joining us! We hope that you experience God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit through worship and the Word today.
his message reminds us that we are shaped by what we consume, and so is our community. What we read, watch, listen to, and who we allow close to us all feed our belief system and affect our spiritual health. Scripture calls us to be wise, to recognize what is poisonous, and to compare every influence to the Word of God (Proverbs 14:15, Proverbs 22:3, Psalm 32:8). What we take in all week does not stay private, we bring it into the house of God and it impacts the atmosphere of the room. Because sacred community is not just about me, we take responsibility for our own healing, our discernment, and our spiritual fire for the sake of everyone else. Keep the fire burning. Do not let pride convince you that your choices affect no one (Leviticus 6:12–13, 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, 1 Corinthians 15:33). What you consume will consume you, so choose what leads to life, growth, joy, and the presence of God.
